Laisha › Privacy policy
Privacy policy
Effective 27 October 2026. This policy covers laisha.ai, the Laisha web app and the Laisha app for Android.
Who is responsible. Laisha is made by LAISHA (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, a company registered in India (CIN U62011WB2026OPC289399; registered office 4th Floor, Devi Market, 83 S P Mukherjee Road, Kalighat, Kolkata 700026, West Bengal, India). The same company runs Sunyra. For any question, request or complaint about your data, write to [email protected].
In short. We collect what is needed to run your account and answer you. Questions and uploads are processed by Google Gemini to produce answers. We do not sell personal data. The free public pages show Google ads; the app does not. You can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
Your account
Your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash we cannot read), whether you have confirmed your email, and when the account was created. If you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive the name, email address and account identifier that Google or Apple confirms to us; we never see your Google or Apple password. One account signs you in at laisha.ai and sunyra.ai.
What you ask and enter
- Questions to Ask Laisha and the answers. A signed-in conversation's recent turns are held in server memory for up to two hours so follow-up questions make sense; details about you and your farm that Laisha picks up from what you tell it (for example your name, crops or machinery) are kept with your account so it can use them in later answers.
- Your farm profile, only what you choose to give: crops, region, farm size, soil, irrigation, livestock, machinery.
- Documents and photos you upload for analysis (for example a soil test report or a photo of a diseased leaf), and the text and results extracted from them.
- Records you keep in Laisha's tools, such as a shop ledger, warehouse stock, a vehicle or workforce register, a diary or saved calculations. If you enter other people's details (customers, workers), please do so only where you are allowed to; we hold them for you and use them only to run your tools.
- Location, only when you ask for weather or map a field: the coordinates are sent to get your forecast. The field map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap and Esri.
- Feedback, forum posts and applications: what you send us through feedback, what you post in the community (published with your name after moderation), and, if you apply for a job, the details, photo and CV you send.
- Laisha Review by email: if you sign up, your email address, the first name if you give one, the page you signed up on, and when you signed up and confirmed. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Subscriptions and payments
- On the web, checkout is provided by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card or other payment details go to Dodo Payments, never to us (their privacy policy). We receive whether the payment succeeded, the amount and currency, a payment reference and the email used.
- In the Laisha Android app, subscriptions are made through Google Play Billing under Google's privacy policy. We never see your payment details; we receive the product, order number, a purchase token and the subscription's status and renewal date, to check it is real and keep your plan in step.
- We keep your plan, trial dates and a record of each payment.
- If you start a web checkout while signed in and don't finish, we may send one reminder email about two hours later, with a link to stop them for good.
Usage
- Feature use in the app. We record which tool or screen was opened, when, and by which account if you are signed in, never what you typed or entered. This tells us what is worth building.
- Visit counts on laisha.ai. Public pages send a tiny, anonymous count when they open and at each step of subscribing. Each count adds 1 to a daily total of the page address, the website you came from (its name only), the kind of device, your country (as our network reports it) or browser time zone, and any campaign tag. No cookie is set, no ID is created, your IP address is not stored, nothing is linked to your account, and if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control nothing is counted.
- Server logs. Our hosting providers keep standard request logs (IP address, address requested, time, browser) for security and reliability, for a short period.
How we use it
- To run Laisha: sign you in, answer your questions, analyse what you upload, keep your records and your farm's context, and run your subscription.
- To email you about your account: confirming your address, resetting your password, receipts and plan changes, and Laisha Review if you asked for it.
- To improve Laisha: questions Laisha could not answer well are logged with emails, phone numbers and ID numbers removed and no link to your account; and agricultural facts extracted from uploaded documents and photos may, after the same automatic removal of personal details, be added to Laisha's shared knowledge library, marked as unverified community knowledge. This removal is automatic and rule-based; please do not upload documents containing other people's private details.
- To keep Laisha safe and lawful: preventing abuse and fraud, and meeting legal duties such as tax records.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your questions or records for advertising.

Advertising, cookies and storage
The free public pages of laisha.ai (such as guides, tool pages, manuals and reference pages) show ads from Google AdSense. The Laisha app itself and the Laisha Kids pages show no ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Laisha and/or other sites on the Internet.

How long we keep things
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Account, farm profile, remembered details, records and uploads | While your account exists; deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request |
| Payment and subscription records | As long as Indian tax and company law requires (currently up to eight years) |
| Laisha Review list | Until you unsubscribe; then only a note that you did, so we never email you again |

| Server logs | A short period, for security |
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (in a portable format), to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent or object to processing. Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR, the UK GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA) these are legal rights, and you may also complain to your data-protection authority.
- Delete your account: Delete your account.
- Everything else, and complaints: write to [email protected] from your account's email address. We reply within 30 days, sooner where the law requires.
Children
Laisha accounts are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Anyone under 18 should use Laisha with a parent or guardian's agreement. The Laisha Kids pages need no account and show no ads; like every public page they send only the anonymous visit count described above. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Connections to Laisha are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and access to production data is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes
When our practices change we update this page and its date. If a change matters to how your data is used, we will tell account holders in the app or by email before it takes effect.
