Protection Planner
Global Crop Insurance is a crop-protection planner that starts from whatever the farmer has already saved in their profile — country, crop, region, irrigation — and only asks for what's still missing, rather than making them re-enter everything from scratch.
It covers three real categories of cover a farmer can choose between: weather-index cover (a lower-cost range tied to weather triggers rather than individually assessed loss), named-peril cover for selected specific risks, and broader multi-peril cover — and produces a report reflecting the chosen category, sum insured, land size, region and irrigation status.
It's built to work for a farmer anywhere, not just in one country's specific government insurance scheme, since the inputs (country, region, crop, irrigation, sum insured) are all free-text/selectable rather than tied to one nation's program names.
A farmer deciding between a cheaper weather-index policy and a more comprehensive multi-peril one can generate a report for each and compare what they'd actually be planning for before contacting an insurer.
