It likely means: Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), a real, sap-feeding pest causing direct feeding damage and, separately and importantly, acting as the real transmitting vector for cotton leaf curl virus in several major growing regions.
Do this: Check the underside of leaves regularly, especially in warm, dry conditions this pest favours.
If you see: Small green or black insects clustering on new growth and leaf undersides, sticky honeydew and sooty mould on leaves (aphids); or leaves showing yellowing and a distinctive downward cupping or curling at the margins, sometimes called 'hopper burn' (jassids/leafhoppers).
