Worldwide Prices & Trends
Global Market Price Outlook gives a price and trend read for a crop, checked in a strict real-data-first order: India's Agmarknet when the location is genuinely in India and has a record for that day; otherwise a real global reference price and computed trend from the World Bank's Commodity Markets ("Pink Sheet") data for the roughly ten crops it tracks — genuinely global, not India-only; and only when neither real source covers that crop, an AI-reasoned qualitative trend shown as a fixed category, never a fabricated number, and clearly disclosed as an estimate.
Crop, country, state and district can all be typed directly into the screen — a farmer with no saved crop profile is never blocked from using it, a direct fix for earlier feedback that a farmer without a saved crop "can't get any information."
This is a paid feature, gated server-side, and — per the app's own internal documentation — the single feature built with the most deliberate anti-fabrication safeguards in Laisha, precisely because price is the easiest thing for an AI to guess convincingly and wrongly.
A trader checking a crop the World Bank tracks can see a real, sourced global reference price and trend even outside India, while a farmer inside India selling into a tracked mandi sees today's actual local number instead.
