This track covers the whole forestry degree and its postgraduate and professional layers: silviculture, mensuration and inventory, forest ecology and biology, protection and wildlife, forest products, management, policy and economics, agroforestry, remote sensing, certification and forest carbon. The syllabi of ICAR AIEEA-PG Group 09, ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF subject 59 Forestry, GATE Ecology & Evolution and the Philippine Foresters licensure subjects were read at source; most other exam rows, including the UPSC Indian Forest Service Forestry optional, are built from standard knowledge and are marked unverified because the official sites could not be read during research. Forest roads and logging machinery appear briefly in the Agricultural Engineering track, and wildlife health in the Veterinary track; this track goes deeper on forestry and links to those subjects rather than repeating them. Laisha's questions are original practice written to these syllabi; they are not past papers.

Exams worldwide

Every row names the page or document it was taken from. 'verified' means the official page or document was opened and read during research; 'unverified' means only the body was identified (and usually its home page confirmed) and the format comes from standard knowledge or is unknown. Web search was exhausted for this research, so most rows are unverified, including the UPSC Indian Forest Service row, because upsc.gov.in refused automated reading. Formats, dates and fees change: check the official source before you register. Where a country registers foresters without a written exam, the row says so rather than inventing one. The high-yield list is drawn from what the read syllabi name, not from a count of past papers.

What comes up year after year

The career, stage by stage

A forester's work changes shape over a career: from passing semesters and entrance, forest-service and licensing exams, to running a range, a nursery, a harvest or an inventory crew, to heading a forest division, a company's land base or a certification programme, to setting the research agenda, writing policy and examining the next generation. This guide describes each stage as product analysis: what the work usually involves and where it hurts. It is not a claim about any particular employer. No salaries or market sizes are given because none were verified. Where Laisha can help today it says so; anything not built yet is marked 'coming'.

Student — B.Sc. Forestry / BS Forest Resources

An undergraduate in a four-year forestry degree: the ICAR Deans' Committee B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry in India, a SAF- or CFAB-accredited BS in North America, a BS Forestry in the Philippines, a B.Sc. Forestry at Nepal's Institute of Forestry, Engenharia Florestal in Brazil, or an equivalent elsewhere, and the graduate preparing for ICAR AIEEA-PG, the Indian Forest Service, a state forest service, the PRC Foresters exam or a first registration step.
